COMING SOON: Excerpts from Wogen's bankruptcy files

That's right folks, Wogen Watch has gotten its hands on his federal court bankruptcy case files from just a few years back. Excerpts will be posted as soon as we sort through them!

For background on some of his other financial / legal problems, please read the following case excerpts:

The bankruptcy from years ago might be getting a little too personal. Keep digging and it is possible that you may discover about a fall and back injury from work as a bricklayer.

What interests me is that there was a postcard making fun of Kapitan's house when the Wogen family hired roofers to work on his house without paying them. How ironic.

There's a legitimate story that goes along with Victor's roofing bill. Before they had their new roof put on, it NEVER leaked. For some odd reason, AFTER the new roof was finished, every single time it rains, they get water from a roof leak & aren't able to close their front door properly! Would you pay for a job that wasn't done correctly? If you don't know the story behind his personal finances then you shouldn't be printing it! That's what I call HALF TRUTHS!! You are now being compared to our local Daily Comicle!

I bet there will be excuses for everything and nothing will be Wogen's fault. We already understand his MO. He is a guy who does not take responsibility for anything and all his problems were caused by someone else.

P.S. Thanks for the nice words about being compared to the newspaper. The reporters were smart enough to uncover the lies about the postage on the postcards. A lot of people believe that is why Wogen won't talk to them, not because he says they misquoted him. By the way, the proper proceedure to deal with any mistakes in the newspaper is that one provides evidence that they screwed up and they will gladly print a correction.

Now, please explain why a court would rule that Wogen's wages be garnished for not paying the roofing bill if the work was shoddy as Anonymous claims?

What other excuses are out there for things that might be uncovered in the future?

And one more thing, a lot of people might have forgotten about Wogen lying about the postage except, it took citizens writing complaint letters to the newspaper and a petition drive before he apologized. The anger festered in the public for days and there was no response. After the election, Wogen had an opportunity to apologize to Kapitan right after the election in the one letter to the editor but he failed to do that. Wogen wrote about how he wanted Kapitan to help him do his job (and not get paid for it). Wogen had countless opportunities to write his own letter to the people but instead, the daughter wrote something.

This is not just about one incident about postage. This is about the aftermath, how Wogen mishandled the situation, how long it took before there was any apology, and how there seems to be a one-armed bandit of blame finger pointing at someone else, no matter what. The first excuses that Wogen supporters wrote on the electronic Chronicle messages were that the ugly postcard and the tactics were all just politics and that everybody else does it. The excuse that everybody else does it is the excuse of a youth who lacks maturity.

(The analogy of the finger pointing one-armed bandit is excellent, by the way).

While there was backlash by the voters upset because of the lying about the postcards, those Wogen signs next to Kapitan's house stayed up for days. That was arrogant and makes Wogen a bad winner.

So what is the legit story about why Wogen did not pay his Nicor Gas bill until it ran into the thousands and they took him to court?

It is very obvious to me that Wogen needs a second job, but alderman only pays $6,000 a year and a good one spends at least ten hours a week preparing. Surely someone with all his purported talents could do better than $11 an hour. Plus, if there are all these bills from the past and present, where did he get the money for his campaign?

There are rumors that a former mayor only had the job because it was something that person had to do to get kickbacks from the bars, which were worth more than the mayor's salary. Of course, that is totally illegal.

BLAH, BLAH, BLAH-yOU GUYS are such constant moners and complainers- name some positive things you have done for our community? (besides complain, of course!)

Anytime there are questions the Wogen people cannot answer, someone tries to change the subject. See Anonymous Blah.

Red:
Maybe the reason the Wogen people cannot answer all those un-known questions is because they, too, do NOT know the answers! The Wogen people know just as much as you do Red! Now, I am just waiting for you to reply with another negative answer just like all the other folks have been doing on this site!It really doesn't matter what someone says on here, even if it was the truth, because you all have a bad habit of blasting right back with negative comments!

And how is your comment not negative, Anonymous for Sat. July 14th?
