Note: Mr. John A. Duerk received a cc: of the letter sent to the city clerk in response to his complaint about her failure to post the June 11th minutes online until mid July. Here is an excerpt:
Dear Clerk Johnson:
"I am writing regarding a complaint that our office received related to the City of DeKalb and its application of the Illinois Open Meetings Act, 5 ILCS 120. Mr. John A. Duerk filed a complaint with our office specifically alleging that the City of DeKalb did not post its June 11th meeting minutes on its website.
Please be advised.....a public body that has a website that a full-time staff of the public body maintains must post the minutes of a regular meeting of its governing body.....on the public body's website within seven days of the approval of the minutes....."
