Another question and answer(s) with Wogen Watch

What are some of your other thoughts about Wogen's campaign?

Hmmm. Well, I've heard that he contacted Kay Shelton, another candidate in the Third Ward aldermanic race, and suggested they develop a strategy to defeat Steve Kapitan. This is not only disturbing...it doesn't make any sense. What could one candidate possibly offer another in a race at this level? It's not like Wogen could appoint Ms. Shelton to a city position if she decided to bow out and support his efforts.

Also, Wogen's web site is laughable. Why? There isn't any substance to be found on it - it's fluff. I mean, the site is full of political cliches like "I promise to be a taxpayer watchdog." Who hasn't heard that before? Voters should have asked Wogen where he stands on a series of local issues and why he thinks he's qualified to be their alderman. If you were running for office and your ward included downtown, wouldn't you have posted something on your site about the ongoing revitalization along Lincoln Highway (especially when you're touting yourself as working in construction)?

Victor Wogen Did Not go through the DeKalb Public school system as he claims on his site. He attended and graduated from Indian Creek High School in Shabbona in the 1980's.

He did spend at least a year or two at DeKalb High School. I saw his freshman-year photo in the '85 DHS Kalibre. His family seems to have lived here for a couple years in between residency in Waterman and Malta. But he is certainly not the CITY of DeKalb native that his wife is and he should not have posed as such on the site or anywhere else.

This site is totally "laughable" if you ask me & several others!
I'm gonna take a guess that this site belongs to either Kay Shelton, Christine & Mark Kahle or the in-famous blogger, Tim Schulz! (or should I say, WANNA BE FAMOUS!)

Quit sneaking around and reveal yourself!
